If you don’t have the correct acid balance in the stomach, a pH of 3 or less, the stomach can’t digest fats properly; if this happens, the fats may stay in the stomach for longer than nature intended. Poor or rancid fats make the cells less permeable and do not allow nutrients to flow in and waste to flow out of the cell membrane, but may clog it up, like a sink full of grease.
“HEALTHY FATS MAKE HEALTHY CELLS, HEALTHY CELLS, MAKE A HEALTHY YOU!
All cells in the body require fat to be healthy, healthy fats make healthy cells. They help build muscles and immune cells. Fats carry vital hormones and vitamins to the smallest building blocks of the body, the cell. Good fats are the preferred energy source of the body, especially the brain. Gram for gram, fats provide more energy for the body to burn than either carbohydrates or proteins. Unhealthy fats make unhealthy cells. Unhealthy or rancid fats may rob the body of necessary nutrients and deprive the body of energy for the cell mitochondria. Every cell has mitochondria and they are known as the powerhouses of the cell. These powerhouses take in nutrients and break them down in their own little digestive system. They are creating energy-rich molecules for the cell. If nutrient molecules are incorrectly formed, the immune cells that scan for intruders, may mistake the tissues that are supposed to belong to the system as unhealthy cells and destroy them. They could also leave diseased cells, and then you end up with an unhealthy organ or organ systems, i.e. heart, skin, or gut. If your digestive system is in poor health and the fats you eat are of poor quality, then you feel “poor” quality and have no energy, because your body is using all it’s energy correcting errors in the cell.
